It has been a very busy week this lots going on!! The house voted on the Charity that we will be raising money for - Archie (6b) won the house vote after he presented on RMHC UK, a charity that is important to him. It works to support families who need accommodation near to hospitals due to urgent and serious medical issues. The sleepout next term will be raising money for this charity and we are excited as a house! See more here: Ronald McDonald House Charities

It was a closely contested vote with Billy and Cameron (Re) both also presenting on the British Heart Foundation and the Big Cant Sanctuary respectively

The week also saw two boys performing brilliantly at the recent Fridays at 5.15 concerts! First saw Eric (6a) sing some of his pieces from his Grade 8 repertoire with Silent Moon by Vaughn Williams a favourite! We then had Alex (Re) play the Mlnarski Polonaise brilliantly - a very difficult piece technically which he performed with touch and gusto!

Elsewhere the weekend saw the big competitions - Fifa, Pool, Table Tennis and Table Football! All competitions were open to the whole house and it made for some competitive playing on Saturday night! With house points and chocolate up for grabs it was tense! In the end Marc (Re) won the Table Football, Adolph (6a) won the Fifa, Jasper (6b) won the Pool and Fedor (6b) won the table tennis. For extra house points they then took on Mr Harrison and only Adolph came out with the win - Mr Harrison stronger at Fifa 14 then FC25 perhaps (Mr Harrison wants it known that Adolph was taken to extra time!?)

Finally, there were some brilliant fixtures at the weekend with the 1st XV getting their long awaited win against St Joseph's Mathematical School. The U16s carried on their excellent form with a drubbing of the opposition winning 45-0.

Look out for more information about the House Concert and the Charity donations coming soon! Happy rest of the week
